Although today’s more they have a car, either an ordinary car or luxury car, but not all understand how to properly care for his own car. Problem of caring for the car may sound ordinary and trivial, but never forget that negligence in parental car, although the little things can could be fatal which could threaten the safety in driving, especially for this type of luxury cars like Mercedes-Benz luxury car that we know best cost of service was expensive

In simple there are some basic things that must be taken to ensure that cars can remain untreated. The following tips will help you on what you can do apart from having to shop

- Tire

Replace your tires every 5-8 thousand miles. Do not forget to clean the brake dust of his, because in this section there are a lot of dirt from asphalt or soil. If left too long, the combination of heat and moisture from the brake can bake this section. Check tire pressure regularly, at least once a week is ideal. And do not ever drive with bald tires. On slippery roads, this tire can endanger your life.

- Machines

Replace your engine belt every 25 thousand miles. Make sure belt is in good condition because this is the first part facing extreme conditions outdoors. No less important, check the oil level and engine fluids. Each machine is different layout engine fluids. But in the user guide when you buy a car must be explained where the location of the source.

- Fuel

High-octane fuel is not necessarily guarantee the engine’s power. So it’s appropriate to use the type of fuel your car. When the user purchases declared ‘premium’, then use that fuel.

- Electrical

If you want to fix something that is related to the electrical system, first disconnect the battery flow. All too clear this part, because of foreign objects that stick will slow the connection to the electrical system.

- Lights

If one of your turn signal blink faster than it should, meaning that no lights are broken inside. Such lamps are easily replaced, you simply look at the automotive shop nearby. When you replace it yourself, do not ever touch the glass. Your hands will leave oils and fats. This section will react with halogens contained in the bulb. As a result, the bulb may break when you start the engine.

- Warning Lights

Although seem trivial, warning lights in the dashboard should be maintained. Indicator lights such as gasoline, batteries, or a heat engine, greatly assist you in treatment. Just make sure all the lights are lit according to function and usefulness. Perform periodic service at authorized workshops.

While it’s nice to have the correct tool ball joint separator to have (especially the version for air hammers), usually you can ball joint or tie rod end from the pipe joint with a few properly placed hammer blows of a big break.

First, make sure the vehicle is properly supported in a way that would allow part removal and safety. Then remove any split pins, and make attaching note about halfway. When removing ball joints, it’s best to leave the note in case there are any unexpected spring tension on the control weapon.

After the ball joint breaks loose in the joint and load all of the note, then you can finish removal. In order to break loose, you do not directly concern on the part, before you seek the hammer blows that part of the joint where the nail on the part run by the joint. The joint and nail down a concave shape and have a real grip even when the note is removed. By touching the joint slightly distorts the fit that the version of the parts causes.

We usually take the dirty mass air flow sensors on vehicles with air filters and neglected vehicles in dusty environments are put into operation. The fine particles get past the filter and stick to the sensor elements.

This debris can be skewed readings back to the computer damage. From our experience, many models of Ford occasional cleaning of the benefit. Not all the benefits of mass air flow sensors of the cleaning and not all vehicles have the mass air flow sensors. Take note of the tamper proof screws holding the sensor to the air tube. Ask your mechanic about this service or you are unsure. Cleaning is a sensitive process.

Never touch the sensor elements. They are very fragile! We use an aerosol that “is labeled, safe for cleaning the mass air flow sensors.” Some cleaners leave residue that can cause the sensor. Read the product description and directions carefully to be sure you have the correct chemicals and cleaning procedure used.

Most MAF sensors of Ford will be held within the screws on the pistil evidence. A tamper proof t-20 bit is usually the job done. Some of Ford MAF sensor screws are covered in epoxy mortar evidence where the evidence of the pusher propeller above is made. Although we do not have any evidence fails-ends that, breaking pliers Snap-on brand of battery they always go for us.

While I was trying to ball joints on a Blazer to replace Chevy S Series, a friend showed me a better way to remove the rivets that the ball joints inside. The rivets on the upper ball joint are usually quite easy to chisel away at this model. The lower ball joint is usually where I have most problem.

Until this point, I had always used the torch to the heads or an air hammer with a sharp bit to cut off the heads to chisel away. The cutting torch to work if you are qualified. Torch noobs beware! With the sharp torch, you can easily just inside the cut and gun control that rivet rivet hole really mess up, perhaps making the rivet even more difficult to remove because it can be meted part (welded) in the control arms.

The air hammer can be just as challenging. This tool makes a lot of noise and can be quite some time for all rivet heads cut off. Likewise, you can also control the arms cut if you’re not careful. What my friend showed me was a better way to chisel the air hammer to make the rivet heads to remove. He first uses a separate wheel to a groove through the center of the rivet head to.

That gives the rivet head the appearance of a flat head screw. Then he goes to the each half of the previously welded to rivet head chiselling work. The insertion of the rivet head makes all the difference. Now, instead of struggling to get through all rivet head, that is each half as the chip cutting through butter. Then simply what drives you to the left of the rivet with the targeted organisms bit of air hammer.

WARNING

Approved safety glasses with side shields or full face shield should be worn at all times when grinding or cutting. Make sure all the suggested waiting and shields are in place and properly adjusted when using the grinding and cutting material. A dust mask should be worn when using abrasive material for grinding. The safety glasses should always be worn when using hand tools. This includes the use of any air or electric powered tools. Always use hearing protection when the actuation of pneumatic hammers and chisels.

How can environmental regulations in Europe may affect whether you can keep your older model BMW or Mercedes and running? Why are you having a difficult time finding set of parts “set; Made in Germany” or “Made in Sweden” (or wherever your car was produced)? The answer is quite simple. The bill divides the manufacturers that are located in Germany, Sweden and other European countries have to comply with local and regional schemes. Since most EU countries have adopted more stringent pollution and safety regulations for cars, the governments have left it a priority for older cars away from their streets.

Rather than completely bans on the cars, they went to parts manufacturers and suppliers to eliminate the critical parts needed to keep running that institution. First, most European manufacturers OE production moved to Eastern – European countries like Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Yugoslavia, where there were no such guidelines. But because these countries have their own internal problems and made attempts, had to join the EU, have these elections were more expensive or not available. The manufacturers would rise to the south and east, Asia and Africa further one. Consequently, it ‘s not unusual for a German manufacturer’ s, which packed a “to have, Made in China” or “Made in South Africa” label to the outside. In reality, it ‘s, which is obtained to be the norm and the older models that fit the part, the part must be the more likely produced outside of Europe.

There are of course some exceptions still in the market but the extremely high premiums – in some cases priced catalog of factory prices. In the case of air-cooled VW e.g. is the predominant production now takes place in Mexico and South America. These areas continued to sell these models on showroom floors for about, twenty years after the United States because of the disturbance, emission standards were set to meet. But even as popular as VW listen, the world was to get the parts to keep them operating more and more difficult to achieve consistently, while time goes on.

The common thread throughout many European model cars Bosch is fuel and control systems. Drivers from Bosch D-Jetronic, K-Jetronic should or models of the KE-Jetronic fuel injection, stock up now, because most of the associated spare parts will be made to these systems out of production, while factory stock runs out. Even large warehouse distributors such as Bosch have lost AutohausAZ the ability to buy hundreds of these system parts numbers in the last two years. Bosch is by no means the only company to learn this but it’s by far the most prevalent in the European model cars.

Europe cleans up so that their roads, modernized by the carriers, which are run on them, the U.S. will also be forced to do the same. We continue to AutohausAZ to search for all available parts from European manufacturers, but keep these limitations in mind please. We believe in your right to yours, carrier of choice continue to drive and will continue to hard-to-find parts to seek out, so we can have your parts as long as possible, that are available.

Flickering light of oil pressure? Machine stroke? Both? Home repair problem or minor annoyance? Either way, you should always investigate the source quickly, before it becomes an even bigger problem. Oil pressure – or just the lack of it – in certain parts of your car’s engine can be a major repair nightmare. All machines lose a certain amount of oil pressure over time, while normal wear and tear, the wearing of intervals increased.

But unusually low oil pressure in a machine, regardless of mileage, is often an indication that something is seriously wrong and requires immediate repairs. This “tappet” noise can only be an adhesive lifter, but it can also display an Oil flow problem , which eventually caused damage of at least one valve. A flickering oil light is difficult to check if your machine is not obvious major repair work needed. Modern engines with hydraulic lifters, tight tolerance bearings and miniature oil filters require conscientious monitoring of oil pressure. The following diagnosis is drawing (excerpted from the “Low Oil Pressure check,” Helps Underhood Service, 10/97) will determine whether you are a home repair problem or just have a small problem.

Diagnostic tips A good place to start your diagnosis of a low pressure condition is at the dipstick. Check the oil to see that it’s at the correct level (not low nor overfilled). If low, the machine can be burning or leaking oil. Adding the oil can resolve the low-pressure condition temporarily, but unless the level is maintained properly, can return the problem. If the engine leaks oil, new seals or seals of the attempt to repair the leak. If the engine is burning oil, the valve guides and seals most likely worn, but the rings and the cylinder could be bad, too. declare a wet compression test and / or test leakdown you when it’s that the valve or rings and cylinder leads that are worn. The least expensive fix in the case of worn guides is to bring to attract new valve guide seals (if possible) without the head.

The best fix is to pull the heads and the leaders have to be drawn for oversized valve stems, are notched, are replaced or are extended. Worn rings and cylinders would call for a complete overhaul. Also, note the condition of the oil and make it ‘safe; s the correct viscosity for your car and climate. Heavier viscosities, such as 20W-50 can, straight 30W or 40W, help to maintain good pressure in hot weather but for the cold weather moving too much and can start lubrication problems – especially in the cause overhead cam engines. Viscosities of a bright side as straight 10W or 5W-20 can improve the cold weather starting and lubrication but may be the driving too thin in hot weather, to maintain the good pressure. That’s why most car and OE parts manufacturers 5W-30 in modern machines recommended for all year riding. If the level is okay, the next thing to check would probably be the pressure on, the unit sends.

Unplug the unit and check the warning lamp or gauge reading. If the warning light stays on with the sending unit disconnected, ‘there’s probably a short circuit to ground in the warning lamp circuit. Likewise, if there’s no change in teaching reading, the problem is in the instrumentation, not the machine. The bad, send the units are quite common, so many mechanics replace the unit, even without something to check to see if that cures the problem. This approach was time, but save it ‘;’s risky because unless you measure pressure directly with a gauge that is attached to the machine, you have no way of knowing if pressure is within specifications or.

Most warning lamps won ‘t go on until pressure is dangerously low (less than four or five pounds). So don ‘t assume that the absence of a warning lamp means pressure is okay, especially if the machine produces any valve or noise with. If a check of pressure reveals unusually low readings, check the filter. It ‘s possible, the filter could be clogged with a sticky mass. Replace the filter and see if that differs. The next step is to drop the oil pan and check the oil pump intake screen. If the screen is clogged with debris, you ‘pack was the problem. Also check to see that the pick-up tube is properly fitted and positioned, is set to the pump (no leaks) is attached and is not blocked. If the pump is mounted inside the crankcase, could be the next step is to remove the pump and control. Open the pump cover and measure distances.

Also, check for scoring or other damage. A broken pump drive would tell you something that the pump was introduced and was jammed. If the pump is worn or damaged, replacement is your only choice. If the pump seems to be okay, the next step, the rod and has a shelf Hauptdie distances measured. Check the distance to the main camp, which is closest to the pump (this has the greatest effect on pressure) and the distances to the furthest rod bearing (this shows the greatest wear). If the bearings are worn, they must be replaced. But before you measure so carefully and check the crankshaft journals to wear, counting out-of-round and check to taper. If the journals need attention, the crank also be reground or replaced.

Other diagnostic tests could include camshaft end play and / or pulling a valve cover or intake manifold to check the cam bearings and lifters. Remember, excessive clearances or leaks anywhere in the engine’s oil supply system can contribute to low pressure. Once you ‘VE identified and fixed problems found, your final revision, to start the engine and ensure pressure is within your car’s specifications. Use a mechanical pressure gauge and a don ‘t rely on the shock doctrine or the warning light to verify that the repairs you’ formed VE have eliminated your problem.

A final warning, if you blindly on driving and deaf to the obvious warnings are, the car coming from under your ‘, s-hood, the next sound you hear can be a knock or noise from the rod bearings – the knock finally rest of the dead, while your machine takes, and are followed by your car coasts to a dead stop.

Today, Bosch oxygen sensors are original equipment on a wide variety of European, Asian and domestic carriers and are the best selling brand # 1 in the secondary market. Oxygen sensors are standard equipment on machines of the passenger car and light truck have been since 1980-81. Most such vehicles have one or two oxygen sensors (two are typically used on selected V6 and V8 engine starting end of the eighties). Since the introduction of on-board diagnostics II (OBD II) 1995-96, the number of oxygen sensors per vehicle has doubled (the extra sensors are used after the catalytic converter to monitor its operating efficiency).

Automobile exhaust emissions are everyone’s interests, because we all breathe the same air. Fifty percent of Americans live in areas that exceed national air standards. Jet emissions should be reduced, therefore a key priority in the effort to fight air pollution. In 1976 a Bosch, which would eventually become one of the most important technologies for reducing exhaust emissions: the oxygen sensor. Until 1996, Bosch had his 100 million. Oxygen sensor produces.

However, as important as oxygen sensors are today, few people consider their presence even, let alone the key role oxygen sensors play in engine performance and reduce pollution. A survey found that 99.7% of all consumers did not want you to support even had an oxygen sensor! As the oxygen sensor is fighting pollution Named originally a “Lambda Sensor” when it was first used in fuel-injected European cars monitored the oxygen sensor, the level of oxygen (O2) in the exhaust, so a board computer, the air / fuel mixture to regulate to reduce emissions.

The sensor is mounted in the exhaust manifold downpipe before the catalytic converter or between the exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters. It generates a voltage signal, which is the amount of oxygen in the exhaust proportional. The sensing element on nearly all oxygen sensors, which are commonly used, is a ceramic bulb of zirconium, which is coated on both sides with a thin layer of platinum. The outside of the bulb is exposed to hot exhaust gases, while the interior of the bulb is vented internally through the sensor body or wiring to the outside atmosphere. If the air / fuel mixture is rich and there is little O2 in the exhaust, the difference generated with respect to the oxygen levels of the sensing element, a voltage through the sensor’s platinum electrodes: typically 0.8 to 0.9 volts. If the air / fuel mixture is lean and there is more oxygen in the exhaust indicates the sensor’s voltage output drops to 0.1 to 0.3 volts. If the air / fuel mixture is perfectly balanced and combustion is cleanest, the sensor’s output voltage is around 00:45 volts.

The oxygen sensor’s voltage signal is monitored by the onboard engine management computer to regulate the fuel mixture. If the computer is a rich signal (high voltage) from the oxygen sensor does, he commands the fuel mixture to go lean. When it receives a lean signal (low voltage) from the oxygen sensor, it commands the fuel mixture to go rich. From the rich and forth a circuit to go through in order to reject charged out Gesamtluft-/Kraftstoffmischung to emissions be reduced and help the catalytic converter to operate at peak efficiency, which is necessary to hydrocarbon (HC), carbon monoxide ( Co) and the other oxides of nitrogen (NOx) to reduce levels even.

The speed with which the oxygen sensor reacts to oxygen changes in the exhaust is very important for accurate fuel control, for maximum fuel economy and low emissions. The air / fuel mixture in an older carbureted engine doesn ‘t change as fast as in a fuel-injected carrier of the throttle body, so response time is less critical. But, with the new machines in multi-point fuel injection, the air / fuel mixture change extremely fast and require a very quick response from the oxygen sensor. Oxygen sensors Don ‘t last forever-Here’ s to collect contaminants, what happens as they age The age of an oxygen sensor from the normal combustion and oil ash on the sensing element. This reduces the sensor ‘s ability to respond quickly to changes in the air / fuel mixture. The sensor slows down and becomes “sluggish”. Simultaneously, the sensor’s output voltage may not be as high as it once was and the false impression that the air / fuel mixture is leaner than it was is real.

The result is a richly-than-normal air / fuel mixture under various operating conditions to increase causes the fuel consumption and emissions. The problem may not be immediately noticed because the change in performance occurs gradually. But over time the situation gets worse and eventually requires the sensor to be replaced to restore maximum engine power. Oxygen sensor failure can mean big $ $ led in the repairs when you can not replace the normal aging process eventually fail the oxygen sensor. However, the sensor can also fail prematurely when used with lead from leaded gasoline, is the phosphorus from excessive oil consumption, or silicone from internal coolant leaks or application of the silicone sprays or gasket sealers on the dirty on the machine.

Environmental factors such as road splash, salt, oil, and dirt can also cause a sensor to fail, such as mechanical pressure or abuse can. A dead sensor prevents the on-board computer provides the necessary Luft-/Kraftstoffkorrekturen and causes the air fuel mixture, rich “to run, open loop” in the mode of operation, resulting in much higher fuel consumption and emissions. An additional consequence of any oxygen sensor failure may be damage to the catalyst. A rich operating condition causes the converter to be run hotter than normal. When the converter receives hot enough, the catalyst substrate inside melt really a partial or complete blockage forming.

The result can be a drastic drop in highway performance or delay due to a buildup of back pressure in the exhaust system. THEY know when to replace it ‘s time you YOUR oxygen sensor? Although some cars an oxygen sensor “have; reminder” They illuminate to alert you that when it’s time to check the oxygen sensor, you do not do the most. So unless there ‘sa noticeable Befahrbarkeitproblem or “Check Engine” light to you, most people have no way of knowing if their oxygen sensor is working properly, or. The growth of emissions, examine the changes across the nation, which, together with the introduction of the new “enhanced” emissions testing programs that simulate real Weltansteuer conditions, while emissions are measured.

The latter is very effective at attracting emission problems that formerly escaped detection. Great! To occur, you’ll want out of your oxygen sensor is bad only if you fail your emissions test! Nice to know, huh? According to a study conducted by Sierra Research, Inc., opens in 1996, is oxygen-sensor failure, the “single greatest source of excessive emissions for fuel-injected vehicles” and the second most important cause of high emissions in carbureted engines.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) have to check that required oxygen sensor replacement to 42% -58% of support was, the emissions have been subjected, and have found high levels emit hydrocarbons (HC) or carbon monoxide (CO) found. should review the operation of the oxygen sensor and feedback control system a priority, therefore, be always, always, when a carrier exits an emission test due to high HC or Co.. Oxygen sensor performance can be checked by the sensor reads’, s were made of voltage to ensure that it complies with the air / fuel mixture (low when lean, high when rich). The voltage signal can also be displayed as a waveform on an oscilloscope, to ensure the signal back and forth from rich to lean and does respond quickly enough to changes in the ratio of the air / fuel.

Crankshaft: The Crankshaft is designed for the motion of the pistons in horizontal rotation and down to convert. The shaft is a solid piece of cast iron or forged steel is made. The steel is usually used in high load situations, such as diesel or turbocharged engines. The passages of the oil or cast or drilled into the crankshaft lubricant to the pipe and rod journals to distribute.

Head Diaries: Crankshaft’s main journals (1) the highly polished surfaces on the center of the shaft are located. The axis of rotation of the crankshaft takes the center of the main journals through. The main journals are rotated in the main bearing wear caused by the engine block and main caps. The Diaries of the bar: Bar Diaries (2) have highly polished surfaces to which the connecting rods attach.

They circle around crankshaft’s axis of rotation. The amount of torque it is determined by the distance between journalism “have delivered centrumas s and the axis of rotation. The diaries are designed so there is always at least one piston in a power stroke.

Counterweight: Compensation (3) placing the crank balanced. The weight of the piston and connecting rod, together with the compensation of the rod journal, will cause a severe vibration when the crank was not balanced.

Muzzle: Trapassnuit (4) extends through the end of the engine off. The assembly of the camshaft timing is directly connected to the muzzle, with accessories like the engine.

Flange: Trapasflens (5), the mounting structure for engine’s flywheel. The center of the flange has a pilot hole for the transmission’s input shaft or torque converter.

Harmonic stabilizer: The harmonic stabilizer (also called vibration damper) is designed to trapastrilling to moisten. The downward force on each rod journal can be as high as one ton. This bends the crankshaft causing vibration. Without wetting, the engine damage (trapasmislukking) arise. The damper is a heavy disk set in rubber. The unit is attached to crankshaft’s snout. Showing Ring of Inertia (1), rubber ring (2), Pulley and the BB (3).

Here we try to make it easy and as interesting for you So the next time you are involved in this difficult situation, you will be out in a moment.

Before you begin, make sure sure

The lever in your car is there

There is a pretty inflated spare tire

You have a handle wrench that your wheel fits

The bolt handle

Down to the basics – Once your car safely have parked, put a few bricks or rocks under the tires to make sure it does not roll down. Bring your jack, handle and wheel wrench savings to the Stage. Loosen the nuts without having jacked up the car apart in order to prevent wheel spin on you. Turn counterclockwise to loosen the nut to the road. Next lifter car.

Now remove the old wheel. After the handle to have taken notes, pull the wheel with your weight forward to prevent falling backwards. Take care of the extra wheel in the threaded shafts so that they fit. Then remove the nuts in the correct procedure. Reduce the lever so that the tire resting spot. Replace the hubcap or plate. Voila! Youwilling to drive again .
